Precognitive Intuition

Namikaze Minato was his name!

Now we know who Naruto's parents are.

I just finished reading chapter 367 of Naruto, entitled 'Itachi and Sasuke', but I think we learned more about Naruto in this chapter. Not to mention that the fight of the two brothers only lasted, what, 5 to 6 pages? Not really exciting, but the way Sasuke handled Itachi (even though it was just a clone) was amazing.

Jiraiya and Tsunade were talking about the frog sannin's next mission, infiltrating Amegakure in search of Pein. Which eventually led them on promising to take care of themselves, and then who would fit the role of Hokage next to Tsunade. Naruto was then brought in the discussion (as Tsunade picked Kakashi and him as potential Hokage candidates, to which Jiraiya replied that Naruto had a long way to go). And then they talked about Minato.

Then we knew who they were talking about.

Namikaze Minato is the real name of the Fourth Hokage. While it wasn't directly said that he was Naruto's father, the implications in the manga is evident, and after reading this chapter, my doubts were slowly erased, although I still have a few of it left.

We also came to learn who Naruto's mother was, a ninja from Uzu no Kuni, Uzumaki Kushina. According to Jiraiya's description, she had red hair and a very tomboyish attitude. Tsunade also noted that Naruto's personality and ninjutsu-style are like Kushina's. The only thing that Naruto got from his father was his looks, probably.

Now we don't have to think of any other name to tell who Naruto's parents are. Although I think Arashi is a nice name for the Fourth, Masashi Kishimoto has made it clear:  Namikaze Minato and Uzumaki Kushina are Naruto's parents.

I'd be happy for you, Naruto, if you'd ever discover this truth.

Naruto Dies?!

I was just able to watch the trailer for Naruto: Shippuuden Movie. And guess what it showed?

...It showed Naruto dying!

Naruto was fighting some beings cloaked in black and sending him beams of black. He was beaten, and his last attempt at creating a Rasengan failed.

Why? Why, oh why did they make it like that? Seeing Sakura on all fours in front of Naruto's grave (it probably was, since Naruto's beat-up forehead protector hung on the gravestone) shouting his name made me totally sad... and wanting.

Well, the trailer made me even more anticipating for the upcoming movie. Sadly, I, and all the Naruto fans out there, still have to wait for 3 more months (or maybe next year if I want to purchase a good copy) to see what will really happen. Will Naruto really die? Maybe he really will, the trailer made clear of that. Then what will the movie be all about?

Let's just wait and see...

HENSHIN!

Yeah, you read the title right.

I'm into old sentai and tokusatsu series right now.

A close friend of mine showed me a really good place to buy videos (you know, the pirate type where they sell dvds at 35 each). My brother and I really wanted to watch old sentai series and I asked my friend if there were any in there, and she was positive about it. So I went with her one time when she went there.

Lo and behold, I indeed saw the ones I was looking for!

There was a dvd copy of Bioman there, and remembering that my brother really wanted to watch it again, I bought it immediately. But the one I was really looking for was Kamen Rider BLACK.

Kamen Rider BLACK (Masked Rider BLACK), for me, is the best tokusatsu series in its time. Lead character Minami Kotaro (Robert Akizuki in the Filipino dub) doesn't just look good, he really kicks Gorgom ass. Sugoi!

And after looking for it store after store, I finally found it! Yay for me!

Just watching the opening credits roll and the song play the moment I put it in the dvd player sent waves of nostalgia, not only at me, but also at my brother. How we love this series! We instantly remember how we used to imitate Kamen Rider BLACK's transformation sequence when we were kids. Hehe...

Those were indeed fun times...

Anyway, anyway, that's it. Gotta watch them all now! ...Final words? Why not a loud shout of...

HENSHIN! (begins transformation...)
